NISYROS

Nisyros is a unique island because it’s civilization is built around an active volcano that is accessible to the public.

Walking on the actual crater is an awesome experience!

The village of Mandraki is where the boat will moor. It is a traditional picturesque village with cobbled streets, original houses and diverse little shops selling wonderful souvenirs and hand-made goods. Also there is the holy monastery of Virgin Mary, the castle and an interesting museum.

There is a frequent bus service from the port to the volcano.

If you like to explore the whole island on your own why not rent a car or motorbike and on the days that we have a later boat you can depart at 9.30 and return on the 18.30 to give you more time. We can arrange car and bike hire for you.

Every Wednesday and Sunday we do a NISYROS SPECIAL. This is with boat and bus with visit to the Volcano, Nikia and Mandraki.
